I started out my career as a Beautician many years ago, I done this job for ten years before deciding to make the change into care work in 2020. I am a mother of three and am now looking for some work that I can do in school hours now that my youngest is in full time nursery. My current role involves home care visits to clients in south east edinburgh. The service has recently changed from general homecare to a reablement service which mainly involves seeing clients for around 8 weeks after being discharged from hospital to support with daily living tasks , personal care, medications, meal preperation. The aim is that within the time frame with support our clients should regain independance with these tasks, however sometimes on going care is required. Another part of this role is end of life care and we work alongside comunity nurses to ensure clients comfort and support to families during this difficult time.
