I currently work for Asda my position what I work is self scans while im working i'm usually the one that has to take charge because I have been there 18 years and I know most of the front end job roles, i'm dealing with the general public face to face. it is very challenging at times aswell especially if we are short staffed and having to multitask.
Daily tasks included working with the couriers that delivered customer parcels for redcats which included big companies like empire stores, La redoute and Verbaudet, Daxon, and we had to be available for any queries that the couriers had mainy to do with whether they could or could not deliver a certain parcel or usually was about a pay query.
we would all take it in turns to spend an hour on the phones and then move and go into the middle to use something called DIP to pay them.
I did daily office duties like in putting stock into data base, also answering telephone calls from clients and customers, we dealt with major building companies like Ben Bailey Homes LTD.
I also typed invoices up for clients who had hired scaffolding and other materials etc...
with me only been the administrative assistant I was the one that went and made all the managers a drink.
