Unemployed

N/A
Jhang, Pakistan
10.2020 - 07.2023

During this period I was unemployed. I chose to take this time out so I could spend time with my ill father. As my father was based in Pakistan at the time, I was able to gain an invaluable insight into the culture and lifestyle of the various ethnicities of Pakistan.

Whilst in Pakistan, I was able to fine tune my spoken Urdu and Punjabi by communicating with locals on a daily basis. I have since become familiar with multiple dialects and accents allowing me to differentiate between the dialects spoken throughout various cities of Pakistan.

Furthermore, I gained invaluable insight into the challenges faced by persons with reduced mobility and people with caring responsibilities. In addition to these challenges I experienced first hand the detriment caused when insufficient resources are available to such individuals.

Flight Instructor

Paris Air Inc
Vero Beach
02.2020 - 09.2020
  • Same responsibilities as previous flight instructor with a focus on advanced multi engine flight training
  • Conducted ground & flight training in accordance with part 141/61
  • Reported directly to the Chief pilot.

Flight Instructor

Aviator College, FAA Part 141 Aviation College

  • I specifically chose a part 141 flight school in which the pilot training environment is airline oriented at its core
  • I gained 700 plus hours of flight instruction experience in all types of pilot training - PPL, IR, CPL
  • Additionally, I was teaching on glass cockpit systems including Garmin G1000 & Avidyne Entegra EX5000 as well as conventional 6 pack instruments
  • Being a flight instructor did wonders for my flying skills
  • My situational awareness skyrocketed allowing me to feel the airspace I'm flying in as opposed to just 'getting the job done'
  • I was able to experience the tropical climate of Florida with the adverse weather conditions associated with it which taught me how to plan around such weather
  • I was lucky enough to fly glass cockpit systems as well as conventional displays which allowed me to enjoy the benefits of glass yet still be able to test my piloting abilities without the aid of such systems
  • Last but not least, flying with students I frequently encountered unsafe situations where I had to react within a second or two before something serious could go wrong
  • These situations taught me to respect the privilege of being able to fly whilst allowing me to witness the limitations of an aircraft first hand
  • Being an instructor in a part 141 college, I had to deal with a lot of paperwork and was held accountable for any errors
  • I was answerable to check airmen and assistant chief pilot's as well as the chief pilot himself for paperwork just as equally as I was for the flying element my job entailed
  • Training cadets from various airlines across the world, it was crucial for this paperwork to be in order for airline training departments to review the progress of their cadets
  • Having this responsibility on my shoulders enabled me to value the importance of proper documentation & paperwork that aviation industry requires.
