Accomplishments

NCS (National Citizen Services)

  • Volunteered for two weeks on the isle of white completing community services and group activities to help and encourage understanding of the world.
  • I cold called local businesses for the donation of their goods
  • Raised hundreds of pounds for cancer research through our own advertisement and selling of items to the public.


Volleyball Captain

In 2021 I setup a volleyball team at my secondary school:

  • This included coordinating with teachers for the purchase of supplies and equipment
  • leading fun and inclusive sessions every Thursday which helped attendees to learn volleyball basics and put it to use in a match at the end.



In 2023 I took over the volleyball club at my sixth form:

  • Ran sessions for over 30 people, having to kick people out when not complying to rules or coming uninvited.
  • Found my team a game with Chichester University (which we won!), and entered us into a county-league tournament.

Volleyball

  • My love for volleyball comes from out-thinking my opponents and elevating my teamates.
  • As team captain and team member, I feel responsible to push myself to my limits, and I expect my teammates to do the same.
  • As a team, we trust each other to play strategically using our strengths and allowing us to fail and grow.
