For my work experience week, I found an electronic product design company called EMP designs. Here I took on a design task given to me by the company’s CEO. Simply to design, program and assemble a working remote control car completely by myself. With limited programming knowledge, coding was my largest challenge. However, through the week I taught myself simple codes that applied to my task and wired motors, resistors, switches, LDRs and circuit boards together for it to work. At the end of the week i had greatly broadened my knowledge of electronic design and how the company operated with new tasks.
At MBSe, I initially worked in the repairs area fixing damaged product and learning about lighting equipment. However, I soon moved over to assembly creating light temperature filters for high end lights of the company. I worked in multiple different aspects of the company learning more and more. One of my preferred roles was designing mounting brackets for rigging truss for the companies lifts to fit easily and well with existing products that many film sets use. My products are currently being used worldwide on the biggest sets in the world.
