At Tesco, I work in the warehouse, loading the vans ready to be taken out for deliveries. So far the job has helped me improve my precision and alertness as it can be physically tiring because there are times I have to lify heavy trays above head height, which means it can be easy to start to make some mistakes, so staying alert and precise is key.

• During 2025, I had the opportunity to work with a motorsport team that races Ford Fiestas, on the 31st July, I worked with a mechanic during a test day at Silverstone. During that day I learnt about what happens on test and track days, the basics of a race mechanic for Ford Fiestas and also worked on some setup changes and how they affect the car.
• As well as this I spent a race weekend at Donington Park (12-13th September) shadowing the mechanics and engineers, while also getting involved in setup changes and repairs to the cars. During the weekend I was able to experience the lows and highs within motorsport, from the crashes, repairs and tight time limits, to 2 podium finishes rounding off a good weekend.
• During this time I learnt how to work under pressure, make quick and reasonable decisions, for example, whether to risk running the car with slick tyres on a wet but drying track. Also expanding my knowledge more on the cars, setups, and motorsport as a whole.

• I spent 5 days with an electrician during July 2025, during this time we renovated a house, which taught me practical skills like the basics of plumbing, carpentry, fencing, paving and more. It was interesting to see how issues arise continuously while renovating and game plans had to be changed, I was able to learn how to adapt quickly to these situations and stop the issues getting worse or dangerous.
