I am a dedicated and compassionate physician completing my training in General Internal Medicine, with substantial experience and a strong professional interest in Geriatric Medicine. My clinical exposure to caring for older adults has reinforced my commitment to providing holistic, patient-centred care that addresses the complex interplay of medical, psychological, and social factors affecting this population.
By working in geriatrics medicine as part of my GIM training and my role as ITF in NHS, I have developed expertise in managing frailty, multimorbidity, polypharmacy, dementia, orthogeriatrics, geriatrics clinics and end-of-life care. My experience in multidisciplinary team working has further enhanced my appreciation of collaborative, integrated care models essential for improving outcomes in older patients. I take pride in effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues, and in advocating for the dignity and autonomy of every individual under my care.
In addition to clinical work, I have actively contributed to quality improvement initiatives aimed at reducing hospital readmissions and improving patient care. I am passionate about education and regularly supervise junior doctors and medical students, fostering a learning environment grounded in empathy and evidence-based practice.
As I transition into a consultant role, I bring with me a commitment to clinical excellence, service development, and patient advocacy. I am excited to contribute meaningfully to the future of Geriatric Medicine, helping to shape services that are responsive to the needs of our ageing population.
