• Transporting patient from the theatre to the intensive care unit (ICU).
• Checking and confirming the name of the patient and the surgery we are about to perform.
• Asking the patient if they have any previous anaesthesia experience or allergies to avoid any allergic reaction.
• Providing a clean and safe environment for the patient during and after the surgery.
• Giving emotional support to the patient before and after the surgery.
• Assisting the patient to the wash room before and after the surgery.
• Patient confidentiality and respect.
• Helping to turn and apply creams to the back of patients who are bedridden to prevent bed sores.
• Providing the appropriate equipment in situations of difficult intubation such as laryngoscopes,bougies and cricord pressure.
• Monitoring of patient vitals to detect the slightest change in blood pressure or heart rate in cases of tachycardia or bradycardia.

• Cleaning and sterilizing all the anaesthesia equipment before and after the surgery.
• Transporting the patient into the theatre before the surgery and back to the recovery ward after the surgery.
• Assisting patients who need assistance when going to the wash room or helping them in and out of their wheelchairs.

• Assisting in intubation with the appropriate tube size,oral and nasal airways etc.
• Warming of blood and fresh frozen plasma to the appropriate temperature for transfusion in the patient.
• Sterilizing and cleaning of all the used equipment before and after the surgery.
• Provide all the emergency equipment such as Ambu bags,oxygen cylinders and assisting in the patient transfer to the recovery ward after the surgery.
