As Head of Patient Services, I was primarily a patient advocate, helping patients navigate their way around primary care (GP services) and the services that are available to them, whilst supporting them as and when necessary. Duties included (but were not limited to):

  • Main point of contact for Granta patients (list size 58,000) – queries, complaints, and compliments.
  • Part of the senior management team – managing the business as a whole to ensure it runs smoothly, trouble shooting, and implement business continuity plans as and when required whilst supporting 230 staff members.
  • Complaints management – logging, investigating, concluding and reporting to NHS England.
