Working in pharmacy has taught me how to work in a fast paced environment while conversing and aiding the public for their needs and concerns. I've worked in the main Boots Pharmacy and I'm currently apart of the the Care Homes department, which has taught me how to communicate appropriately with doctors and nurses so that our customers will receive their medication according to SOPs and in a timely fashion. I believe I can make people feel comfortable and listened to in stress related situations which I have experienced through caring for vulnerable patients on a daily basis. Dispensing medication in a high paced pharmacy such as Bretton Boots has improved my multitasking and calculation skills, which aids our team when we are needing to meet our deadlines and when urgent prescriptions come through. I have completed my health and social course which I use to my advantage when aiding our vulnerable patients and it has also taught me how to communicate effectively in a team and as a team leader. I have taken on the responsibility for handling the keys and locking up, for example the store and the publics homes throughout all of my careers making sure the areas are completed secure.
