Although this job isn't related to construction, it has given me valuable skills which can be transferred to any job.
I am friendly and polite which ensures customers receive excellent service. This is a very important skills as in construction management, dealing with clients in a respectful and professional manner is paramount.
My job has countless tasks that i have to do, this has helped my ability to work under pressure and keep on top of multiple tasks in. a time effective manner.

Morgan Sindall's site value manager came to my college to give a talk about the company, what they do and career paths they offer. During this talk, i gave my upmost attention and asked lots of questions. This resulted in them asking my tutor for my name and asked me to get in touch with them about a work experience program which was more competitive than the one the rest of the class was offered. This opportunity meant I had to Obtain a CSCS card and prepare for an interview at their site office at Little Redding's Primary school. I was successful in this interview and proceeded to work at the site learning about site management when i shadowed the site manager (Jack Haley). I took part in various jobs that were done on site and in the site office. These include:
This experience was very valuable to me as it showed me the day to day tasks of a site manager.
I gained this role when I saw RnB construction building a new house. I was impressed by the forms of construction they were using and the high profile client base they had meant they built high end houses. My role was an apprentice carpenter. I had various roles such as constructing walls, roofs and I learned a lot from other trades and the whole process of a building going u from start to finish. I made sure to ask lots of questions and take in all the information i could during this time.
I learned the importance of communication on site and enjoyed liaising between the trades to fix any problems that occurred. This sparked an interest in site management so i Joined my current college course in construction management to get where i wanted to be.
I started this job to earn some money over the summer holidays and it was a stepping stone into construction. I learned the value of hard work and it gave me an insight into the industry which led to me persuing a career in construction.
