I am an enthusiastic and outgoing individual who likes to keep things running smoothly within a workplace. Currently in my first year, studying a Bsc Hons in Physiotherapy which encourages me to work with a variety of new clients regularly, expanding my customer service, confidence and communication skills. After gaining 4 years hospitality experience, I've became detail-oriented and strive for delivering top quality service to all consumers. I learn new tasks quickly and effectively, ready to put them into use as soon as required. Larkhall Thistle F.C. - 14 Hours
I attended training sessions with Larkhall Thistle Football Club where I would perform sports massage on the athletes, preparing them for training sessions. I also attended a game where I done both pre and post event massage, using a variety of different techniques on multiple areas of the body and observed the head physiotherapist perform clinical examinations and pitch side first aid.
Petershill Stadium - 12 Hours
At Petershill, I attended two gaming sessions where I performed both pre and post massage on the football players from college teams. I carried out pitch side first aid where I treated different injuries caused within gameplay such as a burst lip, suspected ankle sprain and hamstring tear, stud injuries and head collisions.
Broadwood Stadium PFA Event - 18 Hours
I attended Broadwood Stadium for a PFA event where it gave young players whose contracts were released from their previous clubs another chance to show off their skills, in hope a scout would select them for their team. Over a 5 day period (Mon-Fri) I attended training sessions where I would perform pre and post massage on players to warm up muscles and aid recovery. I used a variety of different methods on areas such as calfs, hamstrings, quadriceps, back and groin. On game-day (Sat) I did pre/post massage and observed the head physio performing pitch side first aid and treating injuries some players obtained in a clinical environment.
Massage - 100 Hours
In my first year of my Sports Therapy HND course, I performed over 100 hours of massage on individuals from my class in a clinical environment. This gave me the opportunity to practise and perfect my massage techniques on different areas of the body and on a variety of body types, and skin types.
I enjoy listening to music as it helps me wind-down and explore different genres, cultures which broadens my knowledge and allows me to become more expressive. I thrive in keeping fit and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, therefore enjoy being physically active which lead me to my chosen career path. I enjoy travelling to different places and educating myself on different cultures and lifestyles from over the world. I thrive in learning new things and picking up new skills that I can apply within my educational environment and in my workplace.
