As a first-year University student, I effectively balance academic commitments with my part-time job and personal life. Through this, I have developed strong time management, organisation and communication skills while gaining valuable practical experience. I am committed to continuous personal and professional development and aim to make a positive contribution to any team or organisation I am part of.
As a Tesco colleague, I provide friendly customer service, operate tills, restock shelves and maintain high store standards while working as part of a team. I also independently run the in-store bakery on Saturday mornings, starting at 5:30 am. Demonstrating reliability, strong time management and the ability to work early shifts.
During my time at Celtic Park Football , I worked within a premium hospitality restaurant, The Walfrid . Delivering high-end food and beverage service during a fast-paced matchday. I was responsible for providing professional and attentive service to guests and ensuring a smooth dining experience. I also had my own section in the restaurant so I was able to get to know my guests wants and needs extremely well. This role strengthened my communication skills, ability to work under pressure and attention to detail within a luxury setting.
As my tenure at Next was short, the extent of my job consisted of assisting customers and operating the tills during busy seasonal periods. I also helped keep the shop floor organised by restocking items and arranging displays. Supporting the team with general store tasks and ensuring the store was clean and welcoming.
In October of 2024, I was taken to Houston, Texas by the University of Strathclyde as part of the Scottish Space School programme, where I was given the opportunity to visit the Johnson Space Centre. I was one if 8 pupils selected to go on this trip out of over 1500 S5 pupils throughout Scotland. Best Experience of my life.
