Lauren Thrall

I specialise in the foods department mainly, but I am extremely flexible, and help out on other departments, such as clothing and home and operations if I'm required to do so. My role as a Customer Service Advisor serves a great purpose. I am able to deliver a great shopping experience for customers, by always putting customers needs before tasks every time. I'm always looking to champion new ways of working within stores through an open mindset and by having a positive attitude. I always aim to complete tasks and processes to the best of my ability, by being diligent, thorough, and working as a team with my colleagues.

Some of these tasks include creating displays across the store in order to advertise new food items, which shows I can work independently, as well as with a team, I investigate stock inaccuracies across the floor and within the warehouse, as well as serving customers and giving excellent customer service. I'm able to work quick and vigilantly in a very fast paced environment. I am someone who has a passion for driving forward change initiatives, and is able to think outside the box, in order to better the company in the long run.

Many of my colleagues are of a much older generation, so I'm always upskilling and teaching them different processes, such as e-learning on the computers, as I am very knowledgeable with applications such as word, excel, and the specific networks we use. This enables me to be analytically driven, in order to extract data and generate accurate reports.

I've recently been trained as an emergency team member, in order to investigate, tackle and prevent fires and other incidents. My role in this requires me to be knowledgeable on the cause of fires, how to tackle them if safe to do so, and ensure that everyone in the building is accounted for and safely evacuated if necessary. This enables me to be very effective at communicating, which in turn allows me to build positive relationships with others. By having this level of responsibility, it also means I always take accountability for planning and managing my own work efficiently, to ensure all objectives are met.
