Manage DOLS applications and review to support legal compliance and resident safeguarding

Responsibilities
Complete and manage DOLS applications and reviews with social workers and assessors to ensure legal compliance and improve resident safety
Carry out regular audits (medication, controlled drugs household audits)
Conduct staff supervisions, spot checks, and medication competencies to ensure high standards of practice
Develop, review and update person centred care plans to reflect residents' changing needs
Support new residents' admissions ensuring smooth transitions and comprehensive documentation
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using digital care systems including PCS and camescope
Provide hands on support with personal care , mobility nutrition, hydration and medication administraion
Administer and manage medications including controlled drugs, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards
Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings with GPs CPN's dieticians and other health professionals, contributing to care planning and decision making
Communicate outcomes of MDT meetings to families and ensure all updates are accurately documented
Provide compassionate end of life care, ensuring comfort, dignity, and support for residents and their families
Complete referrals to external services including community therapies, continence, falls team, district nurses
Deliver in-house training in Basic life support to staff, promoting safe emergency response practices
Provide clinical support including basic observations emergency response, and effective communication with paramedics and health care professionals
Support staff development through training, feedback and recorded discussions
Manage Rota adjustments to cover annual leave and sickness, ensuring safe staffing levels
Liaise with families, providing updates and support regarding residents' care
Demonstrate strong IT competency, using Microsoft Office for reporting tracking and record keeping
