  • My role involved creating safe environments for hard to reach communities that are often missed from referrals to domestic abuse support services.
  • To encourage and foster open and honest conversations about structural organisational change to ensure their needs where being met and their culture respected.
  • My goal was to learn from these communities on how to increase the quality of support and care these communities receive, make statutory services inclusive and culturally aware.
  • My role also included upskilling and training professionals who work in domestic abuse or may come into contact with domestic abuse through their work. These trainings included online webinars, in person interactive trainings and training around specific cohorts and unique forms of domestic abuse.
