I was requested to volunteer at the nursery where my mum used to work as I was seen as suitable for the job, I saw it as an opportunity to improve my skillset and learn skills that could be utilised elsewhere as well as in the workplace. My role was to have an eye on the children and warrant their safety, engage them in recreational activities with them to overall ensure that the kids were enjoying their time there while learning I have also spoke with the children's parents/guardians to give them feedback on the activities the children had developed an interest in or even partaken in furthermore the children's general wellbeing and Health feedback as this was the upmost importance to both us and the parents/guardians. I believe working there improved my communication skills, my patience and my understanding amongst the children and my co-workers In addition to this my grasp on what is needed in a workplace environment has been furthered.
