Work history

Farm volunteer

May blossom farm
Rugby, Warwickshire
10.2023 - Current

Each Saturday morning, I dedicated approximately four hours to volunteering on a local farm. During this time, I managed livestock operations involving sheep and goats, ensuring their health and welfare through routine care and monitoring. I also operated heavy machinery to support the farm’s daily operations and general maintenance. In addition to these responsibilities, I played an active role in organising and coordinating fundraising events, helping to generate vital support for the farm. Furthermore, I contributed to volunteer recruitment efforts, which increased community involvement and played a key role in the farm’s ongoing success.

Paper Delivery boy

Maddens Rugby Ltd
Rugby , Warwickshire
06.2022 - Current

I consistently worked early morning shifts without fail, demonstrating strong dedication and reliability in my role. I took full responsibility for ensuring timely and accurate newspaper deliveries, which led to positive customer feedback often shown through generous tips. I helped the team achieve its targets by willingly covering my co-workers’ rounds when they were unavailable, ensuring smooth operations and consistent service.

Work Experience

HPL Prototypes
Coventry, west midlands
05.2024 - 05.2024

During my time at HPL Prototypes, I observed a range of internal meetings, including project management and operations discussions, gaining insight into the company’s day-to-day operations. I was involved in the Cranfield Aerospace model project, where I completed and released a purchasing request form for model board. Additionally, I contributed to the engineering release and manufacturing job sheet processes for a part made of Watershed material. I had the opportunity to witness the sign-off of the Coventry City Council plaque project, which was completed during my placement. I participated in a toolbox talk focused on engineering disciplines and supported purchasing requests that contributed to the progress of various business projects.

I also spent a day with the CAD engineering team, where I was introduced to CAD guidelines and gained an understanding of ongoing design projects. Furthermore, I was fully immersed with the composites team for a day, undertaking a range of tasks including mould preparation, lamination, CNC routing, and sticker printing. My contributions were well received, and I received positive feedback from the composites team for my enthusiasm and engagement. Overall, I consistently received positive feedback from the entire HPL team throughout my placement.

Skills

I have developed strong problem-solving abilities through both academic work and extracurricular activities As part of the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, I successfully completed a range of physical, volunteering, and expedition challenges that required thinking on my feet, adapting to unexpected situations, and working effectively in a team under pressure For example, during our expedition, we encountered navigation errors and unexpected weather changes, which I helped resolve by calmly assessing the situation, suggesting alternative routes, and keeping team morale high

I am currently progressing through the Silver DofE Award, which has further enhanced my ability to plan ahead, overcome setbacks, and remain solution-focused These experiences have taught me how to approach problems logically, communicate effectively with team members, and take initiative to find practical solutions—even in challenging environments

They demonstrate my dedication, reliability, teamwork, and ability to set and achieve long-term goals. Additionally, they reflect my willingness to step out of my comfort zone and make a positive impact in my community. By volunteering consistently on a weekly basis, I have been able to contribute meaningfully to my local community while developing valuable new skills.
