Worked as a tutor for several months, providing academic support to students and helping them build confidence and improve their understanding of key topics. Planned and delivered tailored lessons to suit individual learning needs, explained complex concepts in a clear and engaging way, and monitored progress over time. This role strengthened my communication, leadership, organisation, and problem-solving skills, while demonstrating patience, adaptability, and the ability to motivate others.

Completed a four-week work experience placement in a community pharmacy, where I shadowed a qualified pharmacist and gained insight into the day-to-day responsibilities of the role. Observed the safe dispensing of medications, learned about prescription processing, stock management, and patient confidentiality, and developed an understanding of the importance of accuracy and attention to detail in healthcare. The placement also enhanced my communication skills through interactions with pharmacy staff and customers, while reinforcing the value of professionalism, teamwork, and patient-centred care.

Completed a one-month work experience placement in a charity shop, where I assisted with serving customers, organising and displaying stock, sorting donated items, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This experience helped me develop strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills while learning the importance of reliability, time management, and working efficiently in a busy retail setting. I also gained an appreciation for the role charities play in supporting the local community.
