I am an experienced healthcare professional with focus on custodial care and patient well-being. I am able to deliver comprehensive medical assessments and emergency care through compassionate approach and strong clinical skills. I ensure safety and compliance with healthcare standards in high-pressure environments ensuring patient care is my top priority with focus on providing comprehensive healthcare in challenging environments. I am skilled in managing acute medical conditions and improving patient outcomes through tailored care plans. I am recognised for enhancing patient safety protocols and fostering collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary teams including Lancashire Constabulary and approved mental health professionals.
I am confident in dealing with drug addiction and alcohol addiction, packers and stuffers, self-harm, complex mental health conditions, complex medical conditions and long term diseases. I create a good rapport with my detainees as we get a lot of repeat offenders coming back into the custody suite. By creating a good rapport, I am able to provide quality care with those that may be more difficult to accept help than others. This means I am able to assess all aspects of their health, mental health and current situations such as homelessness, addiction and poorly mainted healthcare needs and complex chronic illnesses. This creates a more positive approach to managing their needs as they are much more willing to liase with community services such as their GP, drug and alcohol rehabilitation programmes, homelessness charities and charities such as Project Nova.
