Affiliations

  • My main hobby is knitting. I attend a local Knit and Natter group in the library, where I enjoy creating knitted items for displays in the library and the wider community. This group provides a vital opportunity for members to chat, socialise and craft. I provide practical guidance to those who need support with their knitting. I can follow and adapt knitting patterns to create personalised knitted gifts for family and friends. Working alongside the group leader, I handle the groups finances, keeping accurate records and distributing the monies raised to various charities. Please see my flickr profile for examples of my work.
  • I have enjoyed completing small projects on the sewing machine, and this is an area of craft that I would like to explore further, time permitting.
  • I also enjoy cross stitch. I have completed several complex cross stitch kits, that I purchased while in Australia, they are framed and on display at home.
  • I have been involved in restoring the kneelers in the local church. I made one of the original kneelers - an image of the church to celebrate our marriage.
  • My friend Sally and I enjoy going to live comedy shows, mainly at Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone and Sevenoaks.
