I worked in a infectious disease and Travel medicine ward. Day to day work, I provide care for all service users including personal hygiene care by promoting independency and taking observations, updating NEWS scores and liaising with the in-charge nurse, reporting to the nurse in charge if any significant changes in the patient's physical and mental condition.
I cared patients with High Consequence infectious disease in a respectful manner by using proper PPE use as per infection control guidelines(doffing and donning) and it was my part of my job that to provide 1:1 care for patients.

I maintains patient safety such as patient transferring using a hoist. I am competent to turn and manoeuvre patients safely by using large and small pieces of equipment.
I carried out clinical skills such as vital signs monitoring, wound observations , simple wound dressings, dressing removal, cannula removal ,urinalysis, catheter care, bladder scanning, collecting specimens and taking ECG. I assist the Registered Professional with other treatments and care specific to their condition as directed and report back.
