BEVERLEY CROWELL

BUDE,Cornwall

Summary

I am an enthusiastic and multi-skilled Deputy Community Nurse Team Lead with 20 years experience in several healthcare settings, including: Specialist Dementia Care Home, General Intensive Care, Community Hospital Ward, Day Surgery (caring for children and adults aged from 9 months), Private health surgery, Neurological Intensive Care, Trauma & Orthopaedics.

A professional that takes pride in myself for being a compassionate healthcare professional committed to providing high quality patient care. Communicating well with multidisciplinary teams to meet the individual needs of patients and staff alike.

My role as Deputy Community Nurse Team Lead has taught me essential skills in delegation, supervision and how to provide support to other members of the team. This role has enhanced my organisational skills enabling me to triage incoming referrals and act on them in the appropriate time frames, asking for further information when required, then allocating to the most appropriate staff members.

Taking the role of shift coordinator and allocation of patient caseloads to individual staff members, according to their skills and ability, taking into account the acuity of their patients and mileage, following a nationally recognised tool for Community Nurses allocations.

I work to policy, and when needed I would confidently and appropriately speak up when things are not being done correctly. I can offer training and support to those in need, and can sign post to appropriate training courses and resources as a result.

As I have experience in several different fields of nursing I am able to bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to the team.

I am confident with autonomous working and I am able to adapt to rapidly changing situations, calling on help when required.

I am a motivational and supportive member of the team.

I am confident in my own abilities, however I only work within my competence. I am always wanting and willing to learn new skills, to enhance my abilities to make me a strong member of any team.
