Atinuke Sophie Waidi

A highly motivated second-year LLB (Hons) Law student with a keen interest in pursuing a career in law within the public sector. With extensive experience in customer-facing roles, strong communication, rapport-building, organisational, and problem-solving skills have been developed, all of which are essential for legal work. A fast learner, capable of working both independently and as part of a team, while calmly navigating high-stress situations as demonstrated in extra-curricular activities such as student mentoring and volunteering at NLS. Seeking a placement to apply academic knowledge and further experience in the legal sector. Proven ability to manage tasks efficiently, work competitively, and achieve positive results.

Sport

• Played in a variety of team sports throughout secondary school and sixth form including track and field, swimming, javelin . Captain of the Track team, and led the team to victory at Harris federation finals through motivation and perseverance.

Mental health Ambassador

• Being a mental health ambassador shows my ability to assist others and communicate effectively. These skills are essential in law , where empathy, problem solving and client communication are crucial.

Charity work

• Raised over £600 through sponsorship for the charity Sports relief to help people globally, especially those facing poverty, inequality and mental health challenges.
