Summary

After completing my apprenticeship with Marshall Aerospace I moved on to becoming the Engineering manager at Audley End Miniature Railway in Saffron Walden as I had a keen passion for maintaining and preserving our heritage from classic cars to steam traction engines. From here I set up my own company A J Cook Engineering Ltd which has grown from strength to strength over the last 8 years with the aid of my business partner Ben who joined the company in 2018.

A J Cook Engineering currently serves an array of industries from medical/ scientific through to automotive, from one off prototypes and design to batch machined components.

2023 Saw the birth of my partner and I's daughter Evie, in recent months the stresses and pressures of running a business are starting to take their toll, to this end on the 2nd August 2023 I have handed my notice in as a director with A J Cook Engineering and have passed the reins onto my business partner with 3 months notice.

A job that brings me joy and one that I am passionate about is driving my friends ERF EC11 around the country with their family traction engine on the back, to this end my partner Hannah feels that this is where my next chapter will take me.
