I am an enthusiastic individual driven to continue to learn and grow professionally to be the most effective teacher. I am able to understand and implement new teaching strategies into the classroom, due to my recent studies in university and application throughout placements.

I excel at working with different learning styles from experience and hold the ability to adapt accordingly.

I am caring and supportive holistically and academically for all pupils. I aspire to create engaging and creative lessons to provide pupils an excellent education.

I am a reflective teacher and constantly review what could be improved and what has worked well in my teaching. I always take on feedback positively as i become a professional as i believe it is a vital aspect.

I have studied an aspect of becoming a subject leader for English, this is an aspiration of mine, additionally for Religious studies and Art.

Throughout my time working as a waitress, I have gained many experiences relevant to my development as becoming a professional.

I have gained skills working with the public and have experience with customer feedback and resolving complaints. I ensure all customers are happy with their visit and check in with customers meals. I have also gained relevant knowledge and skills with hygiene standards and dietary requirements.

Following a placement during my university degree, I obtained a job as a nursery assistant. This job allowed me to gain significant Early Years experience. I was involved in the teaching of phonics, direct learning activities and the holistic development across all ages in nursery. I applied positive reinforcement daily, role-modelled desired behaviours and developed positive, trusting relationships with the children and staff. I also gained experience of communication with parents, I relayed to parents what their child had achieved in the day, leading to daily conversations with parents.

Additional Information

Regarding my personal hobbies and interests, I do horse riding. This hobby has been lifelong and has contributed to my identity. It has provided me with many life skills such as: confidence, responsibility, patience, social skills and holds benefits towards my physical and emotional well-being.

I also enjoy arts and crafts in my free time, being creative and expressive through art.
