At the Shout UK platform, I completed 25 hours of training and a minimum of 2-hour weekly shifts. As a volunteer, I have many responsibilities, which include:
• Assessing texters' needs and adapting my communication and approach accordingly.
• Maintaining constant communication with my supervisor and implementing the feedback provided.
• Identifying high-risk texters and developing crisis intervention skills.
• Using and developing action plans, as well as providing appropriate resources.
At UPAM, I participated in numerous activities aimed at promoting health and wellbeing for those in need in Angola, particularly children. My roles within the organisation include:
• Distributing water and food donations.
• Enhancing the environment of schools by building functional items, such as chairs and tables for classrooms.
• Organising activities like sports tournaments, dances, and cinema to foster social cohesion and create positive shared moments.
• Presenting PowerPoints on essential concepts, including hygiene and mental health.
