My role at St-Annes, is the substance misuse worker. The environment at the hostel is full of drugs and my job is to work with clients to try and get them to a place in their mind to change their mindset and start to cut down on their drug use and hopefully eventually for them to stop.

I use a person centred approach to my work. I liaise with doctors, social workers and other professionals in meetings about high risk clients.

I monitor drug/Alcohol use with all clients and also do random drug testing to clients who have signed the random drug testing procedure.

I work closely with other projects and organisations to also refer clients to and also refer clients to rehab centres.

My goal is to make the clients realise that they can change no matter what the circumstances. I do talks on mindset changes, drug awareness and how changing their environment could also be key to change.

I keep all case documentation inline with Data protection regulations.

My role at Rose House was as a support worker for 16 - 18 year olds who had been involved in gangs, county lines, drugs etc and they were put into a care setting. It is a private company that housed two Young Persons at a time. My day to day was to keyworks with them around environmental dangers, social media dangers, help them cook, find them jobs, basically anything they need to learn or do to get ready for life on their own and out of care.

I liaised with Social workers, mental health workers and family to keep them in the loop of how the young person was doing.

Everything they did got documented and client files updated all the time.

Medication was held and given out as per mar sheet.

My Role at Josh's care company was as a complex carer. This role was very new to me. I was looking after people with complex needs such as Motor Neuron Disease. I had to learn how to work ventilators, learn how to peg feed, change tracheostomy's, use a cough assist machine.

I had to be signed off by a registered nurse to say I was fully trained to do this. After, I was able to train new recruits.

Medication was given as per mar sheet.

My role at Adicare was as a community carer. This was a total career change for me. I drove around on 11 hour shifts to different houses, providing care to the elderly. Giving out medication, cooking meals, doing personal care etc.

I covered a wide range of area. I was very good with time keeping and efficient in my role. All my clients liked me and felt at ease whenever i came to provide them care.

I worked at freightroute for many years. I started as a fork truck driver in the warehouse. I worked up to warehouse manager and then in the office as a transport planner. The company is a pallet distribution company that moves pallets of anything from wash powder to concrete blocks.

In the warehouse we loaded all vehicles and emptied all deliveries and checked them off, labelled them up and put away in the warehouse.

When I became manager I oversaw the day to day running of the warehouse and briefed the team on what I needed them to do.

When I became transport planner, I learnt how to route the drivers delivery runs around all the east midlands and further afield.

I'm computer literate and worked on spreadsheets and worked off Mandata.

My role at Hoben was to mix different concretes and powders and bag them up into bulk bags or 25kg bags, after we would then put them on pallets and heat wrap them and label them, ready for delivery.

I used a lot fork truck driving in that role and also would have to isolate all electrics off and clean inside the machinery.

My role at dominos was driving around the community, delivering pizzas to customers. Handling money and dealing with customers face to face. Excellent customer service and always punctual. Knowing the routes and short cuts helped a lot in this role. Customer satisfaction being at the fore front of everything.

My role at Gunstones was a s a hygiene operative. I would clean different areas of the factory and do deep cleans on machinery as well. Gunstones had a big contract with Morrisons at the time and they would do random checks, so it had to be spotless. I worked with a lot of different hazardous chemicals, so COSHH was important.

My role at Innovate was team leader. It was a cold store environment and we stored a lot of products for Bernard Matthews. We would tip deliveries on to bays, label them up and scan them in and then put them away in locations in the freezer,

As team leader I would organise the team into groups and update them on what needed doing.

I used various fork trucks, Counter balance, Reach truck and double leggers.
