In my current role I provide psychosocial interventions to young people under the age of 25 who have substance misuse issues. The sessions are to provide education on different illicit substances and alcohol and the impact they have on their physical and mental health. This role including completing initial assessments, care plan and risk assessment. The role also required referrals to other services such as Children Services, Adult Social Services, Talking Therapies and Inclusion No Wrong Door which support individuals with substance misuse to gain access to mental health support. This role also included referrals to be completed to Inclusion drug and alcohol service for health and well being appointments, testing for blood borne viruses and also vaccinations for Hepatitis B. The role is mainly based in the community with appointments taking place in schools, colleges, service users home and the local drug and alcohol services - Inclusion. ITEP maps are workbooks are also use in sessions to education, provide relapse prevention, distraction technique and alternative coping strategies. This role includes caseload work with regular completion of care plans and risk assessments.
This role involved me working with service users with substance misuse and had involvement with Children Services. The purpose of this role to provide psychosocial interventions to education parents of the impact of their substance use had not only on themselves but also on their children. This session were completed face to face in their homes. Regular updated were provided to Children Service. I left this role for personal responsibility due to provide care for my mother and I needed to be closer to home.
n this role I was working for the Dependency and Recovery Service - Hampshire, working within Probation Services in Havant, Fareham, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. The purpose of my role is to work in partnership with with the Probation Service. I providing psychosocial intervention for adult males who are on Probation who have issues relating to substances misuse that are either linked to their offending or are having a negative affect on their life. These sessions are completed at their allocated Probation office or at a Probation approved premises. These sessions are mainly completed face to face, via telephone or via Teams. I was made redundant from this role.
This role involves holding a caseload of between 70 – 90 service users who have a mixture of substance misuse issues (including alcohol and opiate dependency); as well as service users who have dual diagnosis (substance misuse and mental health). As a recovery care coordinator, the key role is to oversee assigned groups for service users, provide screening, asset mapping, complete comprehensive assessment, recovery planning and reviews of care.
This entails coordinating tailor-made packages of care individual to the service user, which includes identifying the appropriate referrals for psychosocial interventions, clinical interventions providing harm minimization and brief interventions. Also to attend Multi-agency meetings, such as clinical meetings, morning briefing and also the service's business. i am also responsible for attending Professional Meetings with Children Services, Community Mental Health Services and also Probation Services. I left this role to work for the Dependency and Recovery Service
I was part of the Data Team. In this role I was response for the South substance misuse hub data that was submitted to the National Drug Treatment Monitoring Service monthly upload. I would send the monthly errors list to hub Team Leader. I was also responsible for the training of staff on the service casenotes system ILLY. I was also response for creating accounts for new staff and for also training new admin staff on how to generate prescription. I left this role to take up a position at Change, Grow, Live as a Care Coordinator.
I have several years of experience in administration I have previously managed a small team of administrators working in the NHS I was responsible for the day to day running of a busy reception and office
I have good organizational skills, with effective time management, resourceful to achieve goals effectively and productively I also have experience in managing volunteers to support them to achieve paid employment positions

I also have an extensive knowledges regarding this harmful effects illicit substances and alcohol have on an individuals life ie physical and mental health, also other area of their life such as housing, debts and criminal justice
I work in a person centred and trauma informed way I have a non judgmental approach I am also empathic and calm and approach in my nature
I am also quick to learn and I am also looking at new ways to learn and improve my practice
