My current roles involve To provide treatment and support for persons who are addicted to drugs or alcohol, including community support.
As part of a recovery treatment plan, provide interventions and support for mostly alcohol users, as well as some substance users with complicated requirements.
To assist with Community Detoxification, 1:1 keyworking, and group facilitation
Advice and information on treatment recovery and harm reduction were provided.
BBV interventions were provided.
Key Relationships: Liaise with non-statutory agencies, general practitioners, mental health services, social care, and other appropriate stakeholders.
My role has allowed young people and adults to take control of their health and wellbeing and take a holistic approach, connecting people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support. I believe this knowledge I have gained can support me to make the difference within my new role and support the vulnerable people overcome their obstacles.
1 To understand and maintain client confidentiality according to Trust policy

10 To provide key working interventions with supervision from senior staff for those with most complex needs
11 To deliver support and recovery based interventions in community settings
