My job entailed:

• Working under pressure and staying calm and professional whilst short-staffed.

• Wrapping cutlery and making sure all tables were clean before customers' arrival.
• Maintaining a spotless bar area in line with health and hygiene regulations.

My job entailed:

• Providing outstanding customer service, enabling an enjoyable and positive shopping experience.
• Replenishing stock by working on the shop floor and in the stock room.
• Using excellent communication skills on both the cash desks and on the shop floor to provide friendliness, optimum helpfulness to suit customer needs, and a memorable in-store experience - all provided with a smile.

During Year 10, I completed a week's work experience at Y Bwthyn Care Home, which counted towards my Welsh Baccalaureate qualification. As a 15-year-old student at Coedcae School, this was my first proper introduction to the world of work.

During this week, I learned many skills, including:

• Learning more about the profession of care and working as a care assistant.
• Feeding residents snacks and helping to dish out meals.
• Helping out in the day centre.
