I am a keen, hard-working journalism graduate currently completing PGCE Primary with QTS at UWSTD, expecting to finish my course in July 2026. This is a full time, demanding course and I plan to go straight back into employment once the course is completed.
I am passionate about working in schools, with 3 years' experience of working as a ALN TA, completing the Aspiring HLTA course last year. I am very knowledgeable about ALN, differentiation and managing the classroom environment, as well as including as much incidental Welsh as I possibly can within my lessons.
I put my heart into teaching, feeling passionate about creating a nurturing, welcoming environment for pupils and giving every pupil a voice and the chance to excel, and would love to experience more schools working as a TA/teacher.
I strive to put in 100% into everything I set my mind to whilst being goal-orientated and positive. I enjoy learning new skills whilst building on and adapting existing ones, such as building positive relationships with pupils, families and staff and formative and summative forms of assessment. I can keep up with the unpredictable and fast-paced classroom, being able to adapt quickly on the spot and change direction if needed. I am also ambitious, creative and innovative, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.
In the future, I would love to have a full-time teacher role and complete my QTS year, and am thoroughly looking forward to working with more pupils, staff and families.
