Pot wash / Food prep assistant

05.2024 - Current

I started my job at St Moritz as a pot washer in may of 2024. Since then I have progressed in my role and I'm now assisting the chefs with food prep and preparing simple meals. As well as that I have other responsibilities in the kitchen, these include:

- Cleaning work spaces and equipment

- Inventory control: Stock rotation, labelling food packaging and monitoring food use by dates

- Assist with food/stock deliveries

- Maintaining our 5 star food hygiene rating

- Completing end of shift clean down duties

Im always open to extra shifts and never back down from a challenge. Working in a kitchen can be stressful at times, this could be due to the high amount of customers in the restaurant and the fact that I have to work at a fast pace to keep up with demand for fresh pots and to stop washing pilling up.
