Leading and managing the birth centre team, combining clinical expertise in supporting physiological births with strategic oversight of staffing, recruitment, training, and service development. Passionate about improving care quality and safety through audits, QI projects, personalised care planning, and collaborative engagement with service users and stakeholders.

Successfully completed a consultant midwife development secondment, gaining leadership experience across the four pillars—clinical practice, education, research, and service development—while providing visible clinical leadership and supporting physiological birth and personalised care planning. Led key initiatives including the Birth Options service, quality improvement projects, research collaborations, and stakeholder engagement to enhance outcomes and experiences for women, birthing people, and staff.

Contributed to senior leadership by ensuring high standards of clinical care, providing operational support, and delivering visible, accessible leadership across maternity services. Led quality improvement initiatives—including community service restructuring and expansion of the Birth Options and antenatal education services—while supporting staff development, performance management, and stakeholder collaboration with the maternity and neonatal voices partnership (MNVP).

Experience working in community, homebirths, inpatient antenatal and postnatal care, birth on labour ward and birth centre, and working in the governance team.
