Currently working as a Compliance Analyst at Euronet Worldwide, I support the firm’s global compliance efforts through risk assessments, regulatory filings, client categorisation, and periodic reviews. I also act as a key point of contact for internal teams and contribute to reporting processes and data integrity initiatives.
-Perform thorough KYC/KYB checks on prospective clients, ensuring proper categorisation in line with UK Money Laundering Regulations and internal compliance policies.
-Conduct screening for PEPs, sanctions, and adverse media using tools such as World Check and Compliance Catalyst, including ongoing daily monitoring.
-Assess and update clients’ risk ratings, escalating discrepancies to the Head of Compliance with appropriate documentation.
-Identify and verify Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs)
-Maintain accurate and complete client data; update static data in line with any changes or reviews.
-Perform KYC refresh of clients in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory obligations.
-Manage communication with traders and operations to prioritize client onboarding and compliance tasks.
-Monitor ongoing customer due diligence and client business relationships.
-Respond to client queries, particularly relating to KYC refresh, ensuring clear and compliant communication.
-Complete various regulatory filings via Connect and maintain compliance logs and internal spreadsheets.
-Prepare comprehensive monthly compliance reports for the Head of Compliance.
-Conduct Know Your Customer (“KYC”) reviews for the onboarding of new clients, as well as periodic and trigger event reviews of existing clients and accounts’ management.
-Perform due diligence on clients including obtaining corporate records, information verification through public sources and various third-party vendors.
-Verify KYC documentation and perform the risk assessment.
-Identify indicators of higher risk relationships and conduct Enhanced
-Due Diligence (“EDD”) (e.g., high-risk industry, Politically Exposed Persons (“PEP”) or Sanctions linked to customer’s nature of business).
-Provide training and support to other team members on KYC processes, industry requirements, and emerging trends
-Report any potential cases of money laundering, fraud, or suspicious activities to the Financial Crime Compliance Team
