• Led a cross functional evaluation of blood giving sets, assessing clinical performance, safety, and cost. Collaborated with stores and theatre teams to standardise a lower cost solution, delivering significant annual savings while maintaining patient safety and clinical acceptance. This then applied to other equipment resulting in further savings.
• Support elective and emergency surgical pathways, ensuring safe and efficient theatre flow.
• Provide hands-on perioperative and anaesthetic support for complex procedures.
• Act as clinical resource for equipment use and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, nursing staff, and theatre management.
• Support, coach, and mentor 1st and 2nd year students.

Senior theatre practitioner role with additional responsibility for staff development and equipment oversight. This period included extensive frontline work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Early career spent as locum in and around London at level 1 trauma centres particularly The Royal London supporting high-acuity emergency and elective surgery within fast-paced, high-risk environments. I maintained part-time locum work in parallel with my NHS post in order to keep my clinical knowledge current, gain exposure to varied working practices, and incorporate learning from other hospital environments into my practice.
