Timothy Davidson

I am a dedicated and adaptable FY2 doctor with diverse clinical experience across general medicine, acute medicine, trauma & orthopaedics, general surgery, geriatrics, and general practice. I will also complete an Accident & Emergency rotation. I am passionate about acute and internal medicine, with good experience in managing complex and acutely unwell patients. I aspire to enter Internal Medicine Training with a view to specialising in Acute Medicine, combining rapid decision-making, multidisciplinary teamwork, and patient-centred care to improve outcomes in high-pressure settings.

• Rowing - Competed for the Irish Junior Nationals team at the Home International Regatta 2015, Two time bronze medallist at the Irish rowing championships, Silver medallist at Northern Irish Junior Indoor championships
• Music - Guitarist, Pianist, Mandolinist and vocalist with experience in live performance in both solo and group settings
• Drama and Theatre - Member of multiple theatre groups and drama societies since age 10, performing as lead and supporting roles in 10 live productions
• Archery and Fencing - Current Member of an archery/fencing club in Glasgow
• Spoken Word - I enjoy writing and performing live poetry, and attended multiple live events to watch and participate in spoken word during my time at university and now in Glasgow

• FY1 Teaching programme - Clinical Simulation (April to August 2024): Ran a teaching programme for 5th year medical students, verbally simulating shifts holding the on-call medical bleep
• Peer-Led teaching programme (August to December 2024): Ran a Peer-led teaching programme for a variety of medical topics delivered by myself and staff of varying grades from FY1 to consultant.
• Mess Committee Member/Social Secretary, Inverclyde Royal Hospital (2024-2025): Organised and co-ordinated social events, including a hospital ball, for the medical staff at IRH.

• Quality Improvement Project: How can we improve the medical boarding process?: An ongoing 3-cycle audit seeking to minimise medical patients being innappropriately boarded to surgical wards, looking primarily at length of patient stay.
