Summary

Although I have no work experience to date, my accomplishments during my time at college have given me essential qualities and transferable skills that are directly applicable to the role at Dunelm. In addition to my A-Levels studies, I served as an ambassador in both the 1st and 2nd years, representing the course and college for the Art and Design Faculty of the Fashion and Textiles Department.

My role involved attending the college's weekend open days to meet and greet prospective students and their parents who were interested in the course, as well as showing them examples of the previous year's sketchbooks and portfolio work. We introduced them to the campus, described the modules and coursework content, and outlined what they could expect. I made myself available to take any questions from students and parents during the day, and offered my ideas to improve lesson efficiency.

Adaptability and flexibility make me a strong team player. I manage my time effectively and organise my tasks efficiently. I'm a quick learner and feel confident in social situations. As a youth volunteer at my parish church, I regularly engage in public speaking during Mass as a church reader. I work well in groups and can take the initiative to complete tasks. My proficiency in IT skills, gained through a computer design course, further demonstrates my adaptability.

Currently, I'm studying to become a Corgi Gas Engineer and Plumber. Given that my first year is only 2 days a week, I am actively seeking part-time work opportunities and would be thrilled to work for Dunelm. I am particularly excited about the opportunity to apply my skills and experiences in a new environment.

My love for puzzles reflects my enjoyment of problem-solving. I have a knack for looking at problems from multiple angles, which is a valuable skill in any work environment. I spend my free time developing my passion for graphics and creative crafts, such as painting, drawing, and embroidery, which is a testament to my keen eye for colours and my love for artistic expression.
