I am in my final year of Secondary school preparing to sit my GCSE's. I would love to have the opportunity of an apprenticeship with Kimberly-Clark. I was extremely lucky to undertake a one week school work experience placement at Kimberly-Clark, experiencing different departments within a manufacturing facility and gaining an understanding of workplace procedures and Health and Safety standards. I am a motivated and reliable person that has a belief in strong teamwork and communication, managing my time really well through my many hobbies and interests, these skills which I have developed through long term involvement within the band "The Gears" of which I am a member of and as a Senior Student Leadership role. I am extremely keen to learn and develop whilst contributing positively and safely to the workplace.
During my work experience at Kimberly-Clark, I completed a programme set by the Manufacturing Capabilities Team, giving me the opportunity to learn experiences within the manufacturing facility. These included; Environmental Health & Safety Induction, Quality checks and Testing, Thermography Testing, Grade/Product Changeover on Production Lines, Electrical Circuit problem solving, Reel AGV and Manual Operation and Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance.
On completion of each day, I was tasked with putting what I had learnt into a presentation which I presented to the Senior Leadership Team at the end of the week. I really enjoyed my work experience at Kimberly-Clark, gaining knowledge of a manufacturing facility, working alongside different teams that rewarded me with great work experiences and challenges whilst being supported. I had the chance to work with advanced technology whilst learning about Manufacturing and Health & Safety.
I am a member of a local youth band "The Gears" in which I play bass guitar. We have been performing together locally for many years with varied live performances and private functions. Being in the band is a great hobby and passion for me, with my enjoyment for music and playing the guitar. Regular rehearsals and performance preparation have allowed me to develop strong teamwork, discipline, commitment and time management skills.
I have been selected as a Senior Student at Walney School, chosen to represent the school and support younger students whilst assisting with school activities and responsibilities. This has allowed me to be a positive role model demonstrating responsibility, reliability, leadership, teamwork, communication and organisational skills.
