  • Led the development of new clinical IT systems which improve patient safety, enable faster care, and support achievement of national waiting times targets.
  • Member of the National eHealth Strategy Board (based in Scottish Government) which oversees the development of clinical and management information systems to support clinical practice in Scotland.
  • Member of the National CHI Advisory Group which advises the Chief Medical Officer for Scotland (CMO) and Directors of Public Health on access to CHI (the national unique patient identifier in NHS Scotland) and confidentiality issues.

· Research and Development

  • Developed key performance indicators to monitor strategy implementation, reporting annually to NHS Fife Clinical Governance Committee.
