Work History

Product Development Intern

Vodafone UK
Virtual
11.2023 - 11.2023
  • Over the course of 3 weeks, I engaged in an internship with Vodafone in which I designed and developed an Internet of Things (IoT) device from concept to presentation.
  • During this process, I learnt and applied user-centric design principles, created empathy maps to better understand potential users and carried out extensive market research, using comprehensive primary and secondary data sources to assess industry prospects.
  • Then, using financial analysis tools (comScore, RiskMetrics and DCF models), I conducted further evaluation to formulate competitive pricing plans.
  • Additionally, I created both digital and physical marketing campaign mock-ups, demonstrating my understanding of the target audience and ability in Graphic Design.
  • Finally, I compiled all the research into a detailed presentation, which was graded and received an 'A' grade from the project supervisors.

Information Technology Intern

Fujitsu
Virtual
10.2023 - 10.2023
  • My responsibilities as an Information Technology Intern with Fujitsu included completing 3 'Sprints' - subject-specific tasks aimed at evaluating how I performed in real-world scenarios.
  • During the Sprints, which were mainly focused on the areas of quantum computing, smart cities, and cybersecurity, I had to create a detailed presentation on potential Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
  • I then had to describe how they can be used to develop cities and design an Incident Response Plan to deal with cybersecurity breaches into the IoT system.

Project Intern

Zebra Technologies
Virtual
09.2023 - 09.2023

During my virtual internship at Zebra Technologies

  • I gained experience in UX/UI design, back-end software development, client consultation, and website development methodologies.
  • As part of the internship, I coded a small cross-platform program using Flutter and Dart using mobile first design and tested it using an Android-x86 emulator. This required me to learn a new programming language, navigate complex documentation, and produce efficient, robust code.
  • This refined my skills in code development, collaboration with peers and seniors, and translating client requirements into user-friendly design.

English Second Language Teacher

DAD Camp
Brasov, Romania
07.2023 - 08.2023

During a three-week immersion program at DAD Summer Camp in Romania:

  • I instructed a small class of Romanian children, aged 9 to 14, in both English language proficiency and swimming skills.
  • Through my guidance, I witnessed significant progress in my students' abilities, with several achieving notable milestones.
  • This experience allowed me to develop my teaching skills and leadership qualities as I had to manage classroom dynamics while ensuring active student participation and safety.
  • In addition to this, I had the opportunity to deeply engage with Romanian culture, which enabled me to appreciate diverse perspectives and refine my cross-cultural communication skills.
