I am an organised, enthusiastic and reliable engineering student with a strong work ethic preparing for a BSc in Mechanical engineering at the university of Bristol. I have strong knowledge of technologies, tools and best practices in mechanical design using AutoCad and engineering drawings. with my level of knowledge of mathematics, I am quite confident that it is my strongest area. I am able to design and fabricate equipment and test and improve prototypes. I also have experience in working as a team member to accomplish engineering goals. During my time at the university, I have been able to gain experience in designing, developing and testing mechanical equipments and tools ensuring high quality standards are met. I am naturally curious and always interested in establishing the mechanics of any gadget I come across. When I was a little boy, I used to dismantle most toys and gadgets bought for me by my parents just to figure out the internal operating systems. I will then fix them back in such a way to make them work again. I get excited by most devices and vehicles around us such as cars, trains, aircrafts, robots, drones, AI and many other equipments which make life easy for us as humans. Though I am fascinated by the external designs of these devices, what is more important to me is understanding how they perform the tasks they have been designed to perform. Therefore, I believe I have the natural flair for engineering. During B-Tec level 3 program, I was equipped with some vital practical lessons which will be of use in an engineering or similar industry. My love for mathematics and principles in physics is making my current study enjoyable and I have scored DDD at the diploma level and working to get an even better grade at the final level in University . I have great admiration for engineers and related professionals because they help solve complex problems of human beings. It is therefore my aim to belong to this group of people who can sacrifice their time and research into finding solutions to human problems. They are always exploring new technologies and bringing imaginations to reality. I was fascinated to observe amazing engineering work during our school trip to Alton Towers, Disney Land, Orlando Universal Studio, NASA Kennedy Space Centre. exposure to enable me to solve some of the numerous problems faced by humanity. Since engineering and other related programmes (quantity survey) require discipline and being multiskilled, I have been engaging in part time work to build certain vital skills such as teamwork, honesty, time management, dedication, focus and communication. I have had various volunteering experiences as a way of giving back to society. An example being my NCS summer holiday where I took part along with a group of volunteers to raise awareness for the Wythenshawe community centre as well as raise money to help make the community and playgrounds much safer and tidier.
