  • My primary role is the Procurement of software and Hardware as required by our client
  • A typical day would involve receiving a request via the Service Desk platform 'Service Now.'

  • formal quote will be prepared for our client using the best price or any criteria the client has stipulated such as the quickest lead time, warranty and added extras
  • Purchase request will be raised, once approved by the budget holder the request will be sent to the relevant supplier
  • This role also includes chasing up suppliers for ETA's, proof of delivery and if the order is for Software then requesting Fulfilment/ Proof of entitlement details
  • Management of any incoming Software/licencing ensuring the details are correct before passing over to our Software Management Team
  • I am also involved in the ordering of Secure Mobile phone contracts and devices for our client, ensuring all contract information is updated onto databases, also manage the invoices for all the mobile contracts, ensuring all are uploaded for the client to peruse and to ensure all the billing is correct
  • On a monthly basis I have to produce a report of all invoices for the relevant month that would then passed to the clients' accounts payable team

Interests

I love nothing better than going on long walks with my wife and our 3 dogs There is nothing like being around nature to clear your mind and rejuvenate you, which I think is extremely important in ensuring a quality work, life balance

For my sins i am an avid Southampton FC supporter and regularly go to matches with my 2 nephews and although the results are not always pleasing the family time is priceless I also enjoy a good kickaround with my small group of friends
