Summary

From leaving school, I served an electrical engineering apprenticeship and worked as an Electrical Installation Engineer for 10 years.

I then became a Firefighter with Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service where I served for 29 years until retirement in March 2022. I was a Watch Manager for 14 of those years and was responsible for the safe management and effective running of a Watch on operational Fire Stations.

Since retirement from the Fire Service, I have continued work as a self-employed Electrical Installation Engineer. Also since June 2024, I am currently employed part time as a Premises Officer for Sefton Council at St. Johns Primary School in Waterloo, Liverpool.
