In the summer of 2025, I completed my GCSE’s at Clitheroe Royal Grammar School, and am now studying A levels, aspiring to study veterinary medicine at university. As a prerequisite to the course, I would like to gain experience working with the public in a professional environment.
During my time at CRGS, I was a member of the Senior Student Leadership team where, as a peer mentor, I was partnered with a group of younger students to support. I also represented the school at other events by volunteering to help out on open days and evenings.
In 2021, I was invited to be the Rose Queen at Samlesbury Church. The experience helped me to learn a lot about responsibilities and time commitments, and being in this role involved attending various fundraising events throughout the year. In particular, I was able to raise awareness about the work of the Children’s Storehouse Charity through my Christmas, Mother’s Day and garden party charity appeals.
I have experience working in a team environment and I am also able to work independently, such as when I had to organise activities for the guides during my time as a young leader volunteer.
I have also worked in a voluntary capacity at the YMCA shop, which has provided me with the confidence I need to develop excellent abilities in customer service.
