Summary

After studying Graphic Design most recently at University, I spent a short amount of time in London at design placements with Agencies. Upon returning home I applied for a job vacancy at Nike as a part time sales associate and with my design background and interest in fashion, trained as a Visual Merchandising Athlete. I fell in love with the store and the culture of Nike, quickly working up to full time and exploring various departments. After specialising in VM for a number of years I took on a new challenge and opportunity in my development by becoming shop floor Lead. This focused on my wider skills in managing the team during trade. I quickly returned to Apparel and merchandising but as a Coach, getting back to what I enjoyed and began learning to run an entire department in store and applying my critical thinking to product sales and numbers. Soon this became Commercial Coach and I was tasked with managing all product categories. This was my greatest point of personal development, learning to train and up skill a large team in order to delegate all the challenges I faced in a growing store. After being very operationally focused product wise for a number of years, I swapped with the Service and Training Coach in order to further expand my skill set and challenge my development further. Once again looking at the service culture and behaviours of the team and bringing them in line with Nike's service ethos and KPI goals. This has been a challenging journey, but one that has rounded me out in my leadership skills. It has also offered me opportunities with the Training Captains in regards to training and onboarding outside of store which I have thoroughly enjoyed and found a passion for.

Outside of work I still enjoy visual design, illustration clothing and film. I also like to keep active as a regular gym goer, runner and indoor climber.
