Hello, I'm Poppy, a motivated and mature young person looking to take my first steps into the world of work. I am a creative and resourceful individual who enjoys learning new skills, embracing challenges, and contributing positively to any team I am part of.
As a proud neurodivergent young adult, I bring a unique perspective, strong problem-solving abilities, and an innovative approach to tasks. I am highly adaptable, socially aware, and confident working with people from a wide range of backgrounds. Through my experiences, I have developed a strong understanding of inclusivity and Special Educational Needs (SEN), and I am passionate about creating welcoming and supportive environments for others. I firmly believe that not everyone fits into the same box, and I pride myself on my ability to think creatively and approach challenges from different perspectives.
A big part of my story is that i am home educated. While many young people spend their education following a fixed curriculum in a classroom, I have had the opportunity to explore my interests in greater depth and develop a genuine love of learning. Having the autonomy to choose GCSE subjects that reflect my passions has helped me become an independent learner with a strong sense of self-motivation and curiosity.
My education has also extended far beyond textbooks. Over the past few years, I have been fortunate enough to travel extensively as part of my learning, gaining first-hand experience of different cultures, histories, and ways of life. These experiences have taken me to countries including Spain, Italy, Turkey, Iceland, and the Netherlands, broadening my perspective and helping me develop confidence, adaptability, and strong communication skills.
I am known for my loyalty, reliability, and willingness to learn. While I may be at the beginning of my employment journey, I make up for my lack of formal work experience with enthusiasm, dedication, and a strong work ethic.
I am ambitious and eager to continue developing both personally and professionally. My long-term goal is to study neuroscience with pschology at university, and I am excited to gain valuable experience that will help me grow, contribute, and succeed in the workplace.
From September 2026 while I finish of my last GCSE's I will also be volunteering one day a week in a local primary school as a classroom LSA.
