I had worked for ALS for 20 years, progressing within the Sample Reception department to team leader level, until personal things in my life made me unable to perform that role to the best of my ability. I am an eager person who has a thirst for knowledge and I like to do things as correctly as possible.
After a year off, I returned to ALS and Logistics as a Reg Tech. Since I have been back, I have managed to recall information easily and learn new tasks, learning a few new things to me like Comark training and Southern Water Reg.
I started in Soil Sample Grinding in early 2004, grinding and making subsamples for the lab. In 2005, I briefly moved onto Sample Prep, where I would prepare samples both for soil grinding and directly to the lab. Later that year, I moved onto Sample Rotation, where I would rotate samples in and out of the lab, making sure everything was organised correctly and easily obtainable for the lab. In 2009, I moved to Bottle Dispatch, where I stayed for almost a year. I then returned to Sample Reception in 2009, starting on receiving deliveries and rotation, then moving onto Sample Registration. In 2017, I became a Senior Technician, where my role included assisted the team leader in organising the shift, as well as helping the lab with any queries they had. In 2019, I moved up to Team Leader, where I organised my team, as well as helped the section run as smoothly as possible, alongside the other team leaders. In 2023, I took a step down back to Reg Tech, due to my ability to juggle my personal problems at the time. I performed in this role until I left in November 2024.
