  • Since 1992. I have run my own business making bespoke joinery, kitchens, staircases and furniture.
  • In 1993, I built the town clock for Kingsbridge and subsequently restored it 30 years later.

  • Classic Sail owned twelve yachts, ranging from 1920 through to 1960. I was head of a team of Shipwrights restoring the fleet.
  • My responsibilities included new teak decks, hatches, and skylights, repairing toe rails, and all aspects from high-end joinery through to the finished bright work.

I enjoy the challenge of designing and building from scratch I communicate well in a team, and am able to focus on detail whilst understanding the whole project

Teaching experience

  • Between 2000 and 2005 I tutored carpentry apprentices from France and Latvia in my own workshop. I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with them and their lecturers. and gaining a knowledge and understanding of the differences between French and English techniques
  • During my continuing employment at Theatre Royal Workshops, due to my skill base I am frequently asked to teach carpentry techniques and oversee younger employees on the use of machinery.
