I am 16 years old looking for my first job to have while still in college. I am currently studying Politics, History and Classical Civilisations at Callywith College in Bodmin.
From the age of 9 I was at a boarding school in Wiltshire, where I was able to develop the skills of taking initiative, and also being able to work autonomously. During this time I also did the Joggle event, which was cycling from North Scotland to Lands End as part of a team, this was for charity. In doing this it taught me perseverance and working as part of a team.
While I was at boarding school I also participated in a volunteering role in Kenya, this was providing support in the renovation of a new school. This showed me a new perspective of appreciation to my situation.
I am versatile and a fast learner, and wanting to learn new skills and am happy to undergo any tasks required as part of my job. I am open to any and all opportunities, as I have not decided what I would like to do when I am older yet, so I am using this as a good chance for me to learn, and try different things, and support me in making that decision.
During this time we were volunteering with my school, to renovate a new school that was built in Kenya. This included painting, cleaning, rebuilding walls, rebuilding a roof and filling in some of the holes within the walls.
