Delivery of learning and teaching to Year 1 class. Duties included:

• Focused learning climate, built on nurturing, positive relationships, enabling all to feel safe and thrive.
• Subject knowledge, based on an understanding of cognition and learning.
• ‘In the moment’ feedback and purposeful marking, including assessment that informs next steps planning.
• Enable great learning by encouraging children’s independence, perseverance, questioning, reflection, resilience and risk-taking.
• Create great readers by promoting the love of reading and providing high quality reading opportunities across the curriculum.
• Support the whole child, keeping inclusion, equity and equality at the heart and preparing children for the future.
• Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, ensuring that children are safe, and taught how to keep themselves safe.
• Communicate effectively with pupils, parents and carers.
• Collaborate and work with colleagues and other relevant professionals within and beyond the school.

Delivery of learning and teaching to Reception class. Duties as per those set out above in my role as Year 1 Class Teacher at Fairlands School.

As an Early Years Leader, I held additional responsibilities as follows:

• To work with the senior leadership team to accelerate progress for all pupils particularly in EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage).
• To support, develop and coach teaching and learning across EYFS, so that the school has a consistently good or better teaching.
• To lead and co-ordinate assessment across EYFS, maximising pupil and parental engagement.

Class assistant within the Nursery Class. Completion of Schools Direct Teacher Training.

Working with children aged 2 to 4 years. Delivery of Early Years Curriculum within the Nursery Class.

Responsible for after school care to children between the ages of 5 and 11 years.
